Abby Mosseri: Jeweller

Tell us a bit about yourself...

I am a traditional jeweller based in Sussex with a passion for natural gemstones.  I was born on the island of Malta and came here via Tanzania, Herefordshire , London and Brighton.  I am married to an artist and we are growing to beautiful boys. 

What inspires you?

Tribal/ancient jewelry and art and my truly wonderful girlfriends.

What makes you happy?

Cycling in nature, eating out with my boys, productive days in my workshop and SUN !!!

Who is your style icon and why?

I have a few but at top i think is Bjork – music, art, fashion and theatre all rolled into one incredible female.  And Frida Khalo always.

What you listening to and reading at the moment?

I’m listening to A Moon Shaped Pool by Radio Head because it’s new and genius.  I’m reading Under the Udala Trees by Chinelo Okparanta. 

What do you like about SIDELINE? 

The detailing and the mix of fabrics within one item make SIDELINE garments stand out for me - they feel crafted. I have a passion for blue/indigo fabric so many pieces hit the spot for me.
