Recycled Fibres

We are proud to have collaborated with our denim manufacturer to recycle our waste fabric offcuts into a new high quality denim with a 50% recycled cotton content. As part of a bigger recycling scheme with the factory, this saves 40 tons of waste every month. As well as saving waste offcuts from going to into land-fill , the use of this recycled fabric has a huge impact on our water use, saving between 2500 and 3500 litres of water per pair of jeans. In 2021 we are introducing 100% recycled denim to our collection.

Planet Friendly Fibres

We use materials that have as little impact on the planet as possible. Our collections focused around natural fibers, such as organic cotton, linen, wool, ramie and hemp. But with every collection, we explore new innovations to shift our focus to recycled and man-made fibers such as recycled cotton, recycled wool, TENCEL™, so that we reduce impact on the earth’s natural resources.

Water Saving

The clothing industry and especially the denim industry, uses a huge amount of water to manufacture goods. Processes such as dyeing and colouring fabrics, washing denims, printing designs, all require a huge amount of water. We focus on reducing the amount by using technologies such as the Environmental Impact Measuring System whereby we can measure our usage. All of our denim and casual cottons are treated with innovative laser technology and water-less ozone washing. This processes not only reduces water usage by up to 80% it also eliminates all harmful chemicals from our process compeletely.

Zero Waste

Seam-free whole garment knitting means our knitwear is knitted flatbed tubular “in the round” and cast off the machines as a complete sweater. We are proud to offer our knitwear to our customers with zero waste. By recycling our denim manufacturing offcuts we have created a zero waste model for our denim production. We are a small independent business and therefore create small runs of each garment, this means that we are not overstocked as bigger brands tend to be.  Our sell-though is very high and we often sell out very quickly – once sold out we often move to a pre-order model meaning that we are making to order with zero-waste. We sell all of our samples at sample sales, often donating a proportion of the funds to charity.

Plastic Free

Our packaging is 100% water soluble and marine-safe made from only Hydrogen, Oxygen & Carbon meaning we have eliminated single use plastic from our process completely.

Transport

We limit our production to 3 production locations. We have a policy whereby suppliers are not allowed to send anything to our HQ without our approval so that we can transport in the most economical way to minimize emissions. When it comes to sending to our stockist and online customers, we send items in recycled paper packaging and recycled boxes.  The packaging we use to send out to customers can withstand at least a 2nd journey, making it possible for any returns or exchanges to be sent using the same packaging.
