TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOURSELF….

I have a mult-ethinic background, my paternal grandparents are white-British, and my maternal grandmother is Trinidian/Indian and my maternal grandfather is Chinese/white-British. I moved to the glorious city of Bath in 2014, for my undergraduate degree, from what I call purgatory between Surrey & South London. As I fell in love with the city, and found love in the city, it's now my permanent home. Next year (2021) I am starting a Masters Degree in Sustainable Development. My key interest is business sustainability, with focus on Theatre & Production. As such, I have co-authored a paper on how theatre can be used as a tool to educate people about climate change.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

I have a younger brother who is severely disabled and despite how difficult his life has been, and his lack of speech, he still smiles & laughs each day. He's taught me more than any teacher ever did or any book ever could - and for that he's what inspires me.

WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY?

I, like most people, find happiness in the smaller, simpler things in life. My best friend has 2 cats and a dog, spending time at her house around her animals makes me very happy (largely as I am longing for my own cat). I also love watching my plants grow and flourish or watching flowers I've bought come into full bloom. Cooking for my friends also makes me very happy, I really can't wait to do that again, I'll cram as many of my friends in my flat as possible!

WHO IS YOUR STYLE ICON AND WHY?

Alexa Chung, with a sprinkle of JFK on his off days, and a dose of Bianca Jagger.

WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO AND READING AT THE MOMENT?

I'm about to finish reading I Feel Bad About My Neck And Other Thoughts on Being a Woman by Nora Ephron, and then I'll be moving onto Intimations: Six Essays by Zadie Smith.

I love podcasts. I have been a devout fan of the High Low, with Dolly Alderton & Pandora Sykes, however it is sadly coming to an end! Music wise I currently have James Blake, and Joesef on repeat.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT SIDELINE?

You mean to ask, what do I love about Sideline?! Every piece of each collection feels carefully considered. I really value that Sideline isn't trend led, each piece is wearable seasons after season - year after year.
